Free Hospitality & Customer Service Workshop Held
Hosted by Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce and WI Dept of Tourism.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s report from David Spiegelberg, 68% of customers don’t come back because they experience an attitude of indifference or rudeness toward the customer by the owner, manager or an employee. And more than two-thirds of people who don’t return to your place of business don’t return because of the way they were treated.
Businesses learned about customer service, and bringing “fun” into the equation to help give customers a great experience. All of the good marketing in the world won’t make a bit of difference if our customers do not have an exceptional experience. This is clearly true for businesses, but also for local groups sponsoring events that bring visitors here – and for the community as a “destination”.
More than 10 different businesses attended the program that was designed for front-line staff, management, business owners, nonprofit groups, volunteers and residents – anyone who works with the public and wants to make a positive and lasting impression with both customers and visitors. Businesses received a handout about Pulaski and what we have to offer. Spiegelberg mentioned that we need to educate our employees about Pulaski too, and become an advocate for the Village and the State of Wisconsin.
